A tribute to the overweight lover “heavy d”

on saturday november 12,2011 smooth jams radio dedicated a little over an hour of music and reflection to one of hip hop’s legends. Mr. Dwight Myers “Heavy D”.dj koolbob originally from westchester county new york hosted this event at 6pm est. on smooth jams radio and on 1radio.org playing a few favorites, that had brought money earnin mt.vernon on the hip hop map!putting together 15 songs by heavy d with 2 colaborations he did with well known r&b artists in the industry, he talked about heavy d accomplishments where were you when you heard a particular heavy d song.it was a well put together show, that lasted for about 70 minutes and covered some main points about the overweight lover’s career and impact on the hip hop world. dj koolbob born in greenburgh, ny next door to white plains, and a #40 bus 30mins to mt.vernon can relate to the success hip hop brought to westchester county.to spend a few minutes to acknowledge someone doing the right thing, bringing positivity to everyones homes,cars,mp3,on videos and cd.

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, the rapper, whose real name is Dwight Arrington Myers, was rushed to the hospital around noon after he was found unconscious on a walkway near his Beverly Hills condo following a shopping trip.

He was conscious when help arrived but only an hour later, was pronounced dead at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles—Heavy D died at 44 years oldsmooth jams radio sends our sincere condolences to the myers family and the whole heavy d and the boys families across the world.thanks hev for the memories and more!Dj Koolbob
